I inherited my love of railroads from my father. When his academic career went off the tracks (pun intended), he turned his passion for railroads into a career – he founded a model railroad distribution company. Like my father, I followed my passion when I realized I no longer wanted to be a professional photographer. I spent forty years in the bicycle industry in sales, marketing and product development.

So you would think my image library would be full of images of railroads and bicycles. There are a few images of steam locomotives from around the world, boats and ships, and some airplanes, but not a single image of a bicycle. I have no ready explanation for the lack of images of bicycles. Life is a mystery sometimes and defies explanation or understanding.
